OpenLexicon Uses other Open Source Software projectsTorque is used to generate java classes of Lexicon metadata objects. This enables the OpenLexicon development team to focus on the design and use of the metadata objects, rather than the implementation. This is an important feature because OpenLexicon's metadata java classes are simple data transports between the database to the Business Rules engine. OpenLexicon supports four databases at this time: Oracle and MySQL, TimesTen and SQLServer. OpenLexicon was originally developed against an Oracle database, but MySQL support has recently been added. Because OpenLexicon’s metadata design depends on triggers and views, only the 5.0 version of MySQL is supported. Apache is currently being used as the web server for the OpenLexicon Wizard.
